Proud to present my MIL's recipe for sambar podi. We can use this powder for sambar, Puli kulambu, Curries and also for non veg dishes.
INGREDIENTS :
Dry chillies 1/2 kg
Dhania 1/2 kg
Jeera 50 gms
Pepper 50 gms
Toor dal 50 gms
Methi seeds 50 gms
Raw rice 50 gms
Rock salt a handful
METHOD :
Dry all the items in sun for 2 days. Dry fry all the ingredients separetely except red chiilies.
Fry salt for few minutes. This will help to prevent the powder from small bugs.
Powder in flour mill and preserve in airtight boxes.
We dont use rice in our podi.must try & c :)
