Raw rice (ponni)  1 cup
Boiled Milk                    1 1/2 cup
Curd                   1/2 cup
Salt                      to taste
For tempering :
Mustard     1 tsp
Urad dal    1 tsp
Channa dal  2 tsp
Hing            1/4 tsp
Curry leaves    few
Ginger        1/4" piece (grated)
Red chillies   2 no
Oil           2 tbsp
Wash rice and soak for 15 mins.Cook  by adding 3 cups of water.
Transfer and cool the cooked rice.
Add milk and curd and mix well.
Heat oil and add the mustard, urad dal, channa dal, hing and curry leaves. Switch off the gas and add ginger and red chillies and fry in that heat itself.
Add this to the rice along with salt and mix well.
Note: By adding milk the curd rice will be  rich and creamy.Rice must be cooked well.

  1. Hi shri,thanks for ur visit to my space, regarding ur q"n about the bittergourd dal,they wont taste that much bitter, u can try them anytime,just remove the seeds of bittergourd while cooking if u dont like bitterness..
